At the 13th Public Race Days this weekend, amateur motor sportsmen from all over Germany and the surrounding countries presented themselves with their cars and bikes in sprint duels on the quarter mile and impressed in about 1,000 runs over the Rico-Anthes Quartermile with top times.
In addition to the hobby racers the acceleration professionals from the dragster sport offered demonstration runs of a special kind during the test & tune sessions – and that meant incredible horsepower and a lot of smoke. Furthermore, there was a Supermoto event behind the Mercedes grandstand and the international constructors’ competition Formula Student Germany with around 3000 students from all over the world. A true motosport weekend for the approximately 13,000 visitors who found their way to the Motodrom at high summer temperatures.
More speed and power of the absolute world elite in drag racing will be available at the NitrOlympX from 17 to 19 August 2018 at the Hockenheimring.
