The dragsters in this class may look the same as their “big brothers”, the Top Fuelers, but methanol is used for power here. The second big difference is the gearbox: On the way to the finishing line, the gears need to be precisely changed 3 times, presenting a tremendous challenge for the driver and their vehicle. The times recorded are around 5.3 seconds, with speeds of over 430 km/h.
