Once again this year, the ‘Rhein-Main-Cruiser and Friends’ will be presenting a large selection of US cars worth seeing directly adjacent to the paddock during the NitrolympX.

Classic hot rods will take centre stage, with some of the best examples of the German scene on display. Hot rods are based on US cars from the 1920s to the 1940s, which their owners radically rebuilt – more powerful V8 engines, stripped of everything superfluous, built to be faster. This passion gave rise to drag racing, which is still inextricably linked to the scene today.

In addition to hot rods, there are other highlights: Corvettes, Mustangs, powerful muscle cars with displacements beyond 7 litres, pick-ups from Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge, elegant coupés, limousines and station wagons. Some vehicles gleam in perfect paintwork, others proudly bear their patina – each tells its own story.

The ‘Rhein-Main-Cruiser’ is an interest group that has existed since the 1980s and keeps US car culture alive in Germany. In addition, the ‘South Side Cruisers’ from Mannheim will once again be there, with many vehicles worth seeing.

The legendary Chevrolet Tri Five cars from the 1950s will be on show to celebrate their 70th anniversary and revive the golden era of the American way of speed.

The exhibition is freely accessible. Please only ‘touch the vehicles with your eyes’.
