We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Rikard Gustafsson. The Swedish Top Fuel Bike rider tragically lost his life during a demonstration event in his hometown of Falkenberg.
Rikard Gustafsson was a defining figure in European drag racing for many years and a six-time FIM-E Top Fuel Bike Champion. Beyond his success on the track, he was known in the paddock for his open and helpful nature, and was widely respected not only as a competitor but, above all, as a friend.
He was also a familiar and highly appreciated presence at the NitrOlympX at the Hockenheimring, where he created unforgettable moments on two wheels that will not be forgotten.
Our thoughts are with his family, his team, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. The drag racing community has lost not only an outstanding racer, but a person who left a lasting mark on the sport and beyond.
